Apply for the chance to be selected for an internship with NBC in New York City, along with a $5,000 stipend and an AAJA mentor.
AAJA is proud to announce the 2013 NBC Summer Partnership. NBC will place three selected students as paid interns for their daily programs, and one student for CNBC. NBC News will determine the show placement of the interns, but students can inform NBC News of their preferences. The selected participants receive $500 a week for 10 weeks to live in New York City. AAJA will connect each partnership intern with a professional journalist mentor through the AAJA Broadcast and Multimedia Mentoring Program.
DEADLINE TO APPLY: MARCH 1
- Applicants must have a serious interest in pursuing a career in broadcast journalism.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled and on track to receive a bachelor’s degree or advanced degree from a college or university in the United States.
- Production experience is not required, but preferred. Must be currently of sophomore standing or above and at least 18 years old.
AAJA membership is encouraged for all applicants and required for the selected partnership recipients.
