UPDATE: The sign-up is closed! Thanks for volunteering to join the convention programming committee. See you in San Francisco!
AAJA’s programming committee is looking for team leaders for our 2015 convention in San Francisco. If you’re a journalist with bold, creative ideas for the type of panels, workshops and speakers we should have for next year, please fill out the form below by Friday, September 19, 2014.
As a member of the programming committee, you’ll be invited to all AAJA convention events and your ideas will affect hundreds of journalists who attend convention every year. You’ll also get to meet and work with professionals who are equally passionate about media and diversity in the newsroom.
Here’s what you need to know:
– We’re looking for folks who know the latest about their industry, whether it’s broadcast, digital, reporting, photojournalism, data or design.
– We’re looking for reliable, collaborative volunteers who are unafraid of reaching out to the best and brightest in their field. You’re a person who not only has great ideas, but can work with a team to make it happen.
– The time commitment will vary (depending on how quickly you can send e-mails!.. j/k… kind of), but don’t worry, we’re a volunteer organization so we know life happens and we’ll do our best to help each other out. You won’t be signing your life away by filling out this form and we’ll send you more information before you commit to anything.
– Finally, you don’t have to be an AAJA member to sign-up, but you do have to attend the convention on August 12-15, 2015.
Any questions? Send us a message with “AAJA Programming Committee” in the subject line. Thanks, and help us spread the word! See you in San Francisco!
