Andrew LaVallee (AAJA – New York) has been promoted to deputy bureau chief for Greater New York at The Wall Street Journal. He joined the Journal in 2006, covering technology and media in New York before moving to Hong Kong in 2010. He served as special projects editor for Asia, managing digital initiatives in China, India, Japan, Korea and South Asia, then as life and style editor for the region. He repatriated in 2013 to become Greater New York’s senior editor for arts and culture.

Christina Leonard (AAJA – Arizona) has recently joined Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She was previously a reporter and editor at The Arizona Republic for 17 years.
She is the founding director of the Cronkite School’s Reynolds Business Bureau, an immersive professional program where students produce daily coverage of business and economics for media outlets.
