AAJA Member News: March 2014 Roundup

Juju ChangJuju Chang (AAJA-New York) joins the ABC News team as a full time co-anchor of Nightline with Dan Abrams and Dan Harris. Juju was promoted to the new position after Cynthia McFadden left her role as anchor chair at Nightline to join NBC News legal and investigative team. Juju Chang was a participant of AAJA’s ELP program in 1999.

 

 

 

Gene KangGene Kang (AAJA-Chicagois joining the #1 rated CBS 8 News team in San Diego as a reporter and fill-in anchor. Prior to his move to the West, Gene was with WHAS-TV in Louisville, Kentucky, where his enterprising and investigative reporting style garnered an Associated Press Award for Best Reporter. As an active member of AAJA Chicago, Gene also served as VP of Broadcast and as a co-advisor for the AAJA “Asian American Small Market Broadcast Journalists” (AASMBJ) group — helping mentor aspiring young journalists.

 

 

Shivan Sarma

Shivan Sarna (AAJA-New York) joined Fox News in New York City as a Production Assistant with the Media Desk. Her responsibilities include logging video for both Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. She graduated from the George Washington University in May 2013, where she earned a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. She then went on to intern at The Associated Press in New Delhi.
