It’s a bucket list that helps kickstart an exploration of Emerald City for both visitors and locals. Brian Nguyen (AAJA-Sacramento) has been selected as a photo intern at The Chicago Tribune through AAJA-Chicago. He is currently a graduating senior at UC Davis majoring in International Relations. As a freshman he worked as a stringer for Reuters, covering Occupy UC Davis. His photo of Lt. John Pike pepper-spraying seated student protesters went viral and has circulated nationally. He has since served as the photo/new media editor at The California Aggie, and has done multiple multimedia internships at The Sacramento Bee.
Nguyen was also the recipient of a 2014 Stanford Chen internship grant as well as a participant of the 2014 AAJA VOICES program in Washington, D.C.
