2008 AAJA National Elections Voting Instructions
The Asian American Journalists Association is currently holding its 2008 elections for the positions of National President, Vice President for Broadcast and Treasurer. Candidates elected to these positions begin their two-year terms on January 1, 2009. Candidates' statements.
VOTING INSTRUCTIONS
National elections take place this year at the UNITY '08 Convention in Chicago. Ballots may be obtained and cast at the UNITY Registration area during registration hours at the McCormick Place West Convention Center in Chicago, starting Wednesday, July 23. Polls close Friday, July 25 at 2 p.m. Only full members, whose dues are paid for the current year, are eligible to vote. Cast ballots must be signed. Elected officers will be announced at the gala on Friday night.
ABSENTEE VOTING
ELECTRONIC BALLOTS. Eligible voters will receive an electronic absentee ballot at their preferred email address on file at the AAJA National Office. Voters may cast their ballots from April 1 to July 9.
PAPER BALLOTS. Absentee ballots are available upon request and must be RECEIVED by the AAJA National Office on or before July 9, 2008 at the following address:
