KATHY CHOW

Kathy has over ten years experience in program development and nonprofit management with various non-profit agencies. Prior to coming to AAJA, Kathy was the Director for Hands On Sacramento, a volunteer action center that provided volunteer opportunities in three counties. Kathy also worked for six years as a public affairs representative for The Sacramento Bee where she was in charge of their employee volunteer program, managing charitable contribution, special projects, and the development of client relations with businesses such as the Asian, Hispanic, Black and Metro Chambers. Kathy has also consulted with companies such as VSP and lead workshops on multicultural marketing. Kathy is certified by the Newspaper Association of America as a Diversity Facilitator, and has served on the advisory council for the National Corporate Volunteer Council and the National Hands On Schools Council for Hands On Network & Points of Light Institute.
ANTONIO M. SALAS, MDIV, MA
Membership & Chapter Development Manager (ext.105)
Before Antonio joined AAJA's staff in 2000, he was with the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, a San Francisco-based national organization. A former Capuchin Franciscan friar from the Mariana Islands, Antonio also holds a master of divinity degree from the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology, and an M.A. from the Graduate Theological Union, Franciscan School of Theology, in Berkeley. He was born and raised on Guam with roots in Saipan, and resides in Oakland, California.
NAO VANG
Student Programs Coordinator (ext.102)
Nao graduated from Fresno State University with a degree in Cultural Anthropology. He has been involved with non-profit work, and particularly student programs for seven years. Before working for AAJA, he ran some of the student programs at the Fresno Metropolitan Museum, providing science and art education for all the Central San Joaquin Valley. Nao enjoys living in the Bay Area. He likes a variety of food and music.
MARCIA K. SANTILLAN
Professional Programs Coordinator (ext.107)
Marcia graduated from San Francisco State University with her degree in Business Administration and International Relations. Her experience includes extensive customer service, training and working for a variety of health related organizations, more recently with the California Immunization Registry. She has managed projects and programs in multiple counties in the Sacramento area and across the greater bay area. Additionally, she has had experience writing and being awarded small grants that have assisted her clients.
