USA Today’s Alysha Tsuji to Host AAJA Sports Task Force Facebook Live Mentoring Session

IMG_6305.JPGAlysha Tsuji is a sports journalist with a unique beat.

While most sports journalists cover athletes while they’re competing, Tsuji covers athletes when they’re on their phones. She has carved out a niche as a sports Snapchat and Instagram reporter for USA Today’s For The Win vertical.

Tsuji will be sharing her social media knowledge and journalistic experiences on Facebook Live on Monday, September 25th at 7pm EST / 4pm PST as a part of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) Sports Task Force’s live mentoring program.

A graduate of Pepperdine University, Tsuji spent time working for MLB.com (via the Sports Journalism Institute) and SB Nation before landing with For The Win in late 2015. While she started off as a writer, Tsuji was promoted to an editor position in 2017.

In her time at For The Win, Tsuji has had the chance to cover Kobe Bryant’s final seasonfollow Jordan Clarkson around Universal Studios and cover the inaugural season of The BIG 3. She has interviewed athletes such as Kristaps Porzingis, Rob Gronkowski, Richard Sherman and Paul George.

For more information on Tsuji’s Facebook Live and future live mentoring sessions, be sure to follow AAJA Sports Task Force on both Twitter and Facebook.
