AAJA Launches Diverse Muslim Sources Database

The Asian American Journalists Association’s Muslim American Task Force (MATF) is accepting source submissions to the Diverse Muslim Sources (DMS) database, a tool to help journalists covering Muslim and Muslim American issues.

There are plenty of knowledgeable, quotable experts out there – and we want to help journalists find them. Our goal is to curate a diverse database of expertise and geography. We’re looking for lawyers, advocates, activists, translators and any other experts who can share their insight for news coverage. Journalists will be able to sort the database by state to find experts in their local market.

All source submissions must be made with the source’s consent. We encourage individuals to submit information on their behalf, rather than submitting other people’s information. (For PR/media representatives submitting multiple names of people at your organization or company as sources, please submit each name individually. You may list the PR/media contact information for each person.)

Are you a source? Submit your information here.

Are you a journalist? Request access here.

Please read our guidelines for the database.

The DMS database is an ongoing initiative. We always welcome suggestions and feedback. Email us at aaja.matfdrive@gmail.com.
