Voter Registration, First Time Voters Topic of NAM/AAJA Teleconference

New America Media (NAM) said in a teleconference partnered with AAJA that public service announcements about voting will appear in ethnic media, particularly in nine swing states. The PSAs - in English, Spanish and Chinese - will be of primary benefit to first time voters such as immigrants who became naturalized citizens and are eligible to vote. Voter registration in many states ends Mon., Oct. 6.  September 26, 2008
