AAJA Multimedia Training Participants Selected
San Francisco, March 21, 2008 -- The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) announced today the participants selected for the AAJA Multimedia Training Opportunities, to be held in San Francisco this year. This program was made possible through a grant from the AT&T Foundation's Excelerator Program.
The hands-on training sessions are half-day to four-day classes on multimedia equipment, digital and high-definition cameras, Mac digital editing, video production, Final Cut Pro and Dreamweaver. Individuals applied for the training and were selected based on their professional experience, their need for professional training, their commitment to AAJA and class availability. Classes will be held at the Bay Area Video Coalition and CompassPoint Non-profit Services in San Francisco. Some sessions will be taught by professional consultants at the AAJA National Office, where a new digital workstation will also be available for participants' use to practice and complete projects.
