Hurricane Ike's recent destructive path disrupted many Texas cities and communities. Reporters in the area filed news stories about the hurricane and consequent evacuees, as well as providing information such as insurance claims. In 2005, demographics indicate that Asian American and Vietnamese American communities in New Orleans never recovered from Hurricane Katrina.
