"As a Mixed Race Asian American," Roberts said, "I've spent most of my adult life exploring and explaining my identity. Mixed Race artists use their art to build bridges and create understanding. My hope is to to explore the topic of Mixed Race but also add some insight into our current president and the daily negotiations he and other Mixed Race Americans go through every day."
Roberts is a recipient of AAJA's Dr. Suzanne Ahn Award for Civil Rights and Social Justice for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. She is also a two-time Peabody Award-winning writer and public radio producer and produced more than 400 documentaries for NPR and PRI.
