The AAJA National Board elected two National Governing Board members from among the National Advisory Board, Paul Cheung of the AAJA-Florida chapter and Frank Witsil of the AAJA-Michigan chapter. The special election to fill two vacant seats transpired at the Spring 2009 AAJA board meeting in San Francisco.
The Governing Board is composed of the five national officers and six board members elected from the Advisory Board every two years. The Governing Board ensures that the organization fulfills its mission, meets the needs of its constituencies, and operates legally, effectively, and efficiently.
