Emil Guillermo won a New America Media award as Best Blogger on Ethnic Perspectives. The 2009 Northern California Ethnic Media Awards were presented at an event in San Francisco March 20. Guillermo, a veteran journalist for print, TV and radio, and popular for his Emil Amok blog, won for his piece in AsianWeek entitled "Obama Polarizes Asian Americans with Richardson Choice."
