New America Media: Stamp Honors Journalist Ruben Salazar

Latino journalist Ruben Salazar will be honored on U.S. postal stamps along with four other American journalists. Salazar was a news director for KMEX-TV in Los Angeles when he was killed by a police tear gas canister in 1970. The Los Angeles Times Media Group has designated April 22, 2008 as Ruben Salazar Day, the day the postage stamp is issued.
