Eighteen thousand aging Filipino World War II veterans hope to receive military benefits by way of legislative bill S1315 that is up for voting by the House of Representative. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is trying to get at least 60 Republican supporters to get the bill passed, but it's uncertain if the House can vote on it before Memorial Day recess. Filipino veterans have battling for decades to receive benefits.
