A shooting occurred at the American Civic Association, which provides immigration services, in Binghamton, NY. Media reports indicate 14 dead, including the shooter, and several injured. The alleged suspect is Jiverly Voong, 42, a Binghamton resident. Police asked a Vietnamese interpreter for assistance after hostages were taken. Many of the survivors could not speak English. The Lede reported that two handcuffed Asian men were taken into custody but are not considered suspects.
