Pulitzers Announced: Pakistan-born Photographer Among Winners

The Pulitzer Prizes for 2008 were announced today. Among the winners is Pakistan-born Adrees Latif of Reuters who won in the Breaking News Photography category. The winning photograph is that of a Japanese videographer, sprawled on the pavement, fatally wounded during a street demonstration in Myanmar.
AAJA National President Jeanne Mariani-Belding was among the Pulitzer jurors.
