Michael Yamashita Documentary to be Featured

National Geographic photographer Michael Yamashita's feature-length documentary, Ghost Fleet, The Epic Voyage Of Zheng He, will be featured on the closing night of the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival on May 11 in New York City. Yamashita, a National Geographic photographer, co-produced and narrated the story of Zheng He, a 15th century seafarer. Yamashita traveled more than 10,000 miles in Asia and Africa to shoot 40,000 pictures for National Geographic, then teamed up with a film crew for the film production. Click for more information.

Yamashita will speak about his dual passion of photography and travel in a workshop at the AAJA National Convention, to be held June 21-24 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
