Career Fair & Expo

AAJA's Career Fair & Expo will be held in the Grand Ballroom (5th Level) of the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa in Los Angeles, California on the following dates and times:

  • Thursday, August 5, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

  • Friday, August 6, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The Career Fair & Expo is the central gathering space at the convention where editors, producers, reporters, photographers and other media professionals, as well as journalism students, come to meet and network with exhibitors from across the news industry. The Expo will feature representatives from television, newspapers, magazines, journalism schools and universities, wire services, government agencies, multimedia and high tech, as well as non-profit organizations and non-media companies. We will also offer Career Counseling, Critique Sessions and a Cyber Center for convention registrants.

Booth rates are as follows:

  • Media: $1,100
  • Non-media Corporate or Government: $1,500
  • Non-profit, Ethnic Media, Small Business or Journalism School: $800

The deadline to register for booth(s) and for early recruiter registration is April 16, 2010.

EXHIBITOR BOOTH KIT

Each exhibitor will receive an Exhibitor Booth Kit with exhibitor show information, forms to purchase booth equipment, and shipment and material handling details. The kit will be available in May.

CAREER COUNSELING & CRITIQUES

Free and exclusively for AAJA convention registrants. Professional journalists, career counselors and recruiters will conduct Career Counseling and Critique sessions for newspaper, magazine, photo, radio, graphic design and television journalists on Thursday & Friday, August 4-5 during the Career Fair & Expo.
