2004 J Camp Participants

A one-of-a-kind program to develop the next generation of journalists of color. This free six-day training camp will bring together a multicultural group of high school students from across the nation to sharpen their journalism skills and work together in a unique learning environment.The curriculum consists of interactive workshops, hands-on training, and field trips.

STUDENT PROJECTS

Selected through a competitive process, students cover the convention by producing a daily newspaper, radio and television newscasts, and an online news Web site. Supervised by industry professionals, they get hands-on experience in an authentic newsroom environment. Convention-goers benefit by learning the latest in convention news as it happens.

AAJA/GANNETT MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT MENTOR PROGRAM
