EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM ADVANCED SESSION

Graduates of AAJA's Executive Leadership Program are invited to a one-day session to further develop their professional goals to become newsroom leaders. The session provides additional training in leadership and work/life balance issues, and concludes with an ELP Networking Luncheon featuring a panel discussion by top industry professionals.

STUDENT PROJECTS

Selected through a competitive process, students cover the convention by producing a daily newspaper, radio and television newscasts, and an online news web site. Supervised by industry professionals, they get hands-on experience in an authentic newsroom environment. Convention-goers benefit by learning the latest in convention news as it happens.

ONE-ON-ONE STUDENT PHOTO CRITIQUES

Professional photographers and photo editors will work with students one-on-one to critique their work. During this session, student photographers will get feedback from at least five professionals. Students should bring at least 20 images of their work on a CD, or prints or clippings showing their best work in photography.
