It's a common misconception that you need technical skills to create a Web site. From building a site using an online template such as WordPress to making a photo gallery using Slide.com, there are many tools to help you get a site up and running in days or hours without knowing HTML, Flash or JAVA. Several AAJA members and chapters have done it. You can, too.

Learn how to choose an agent, manager or lawyer and strategically switch jobs, companies or markets. Learn how to protect yourself from a non-compete clause if you find yourself between jobs and how to handle an employer's request to renegotiate a PSC either at the end of the contract or even during its term. Learn to start taking a more active role in shaping your newsroom role.
