AAJA: Asian American Journalists Association

Camp AAJA

In the summer of 2000, AAJA held its first Camp AAJA in San Francisco designed to hone participants' leadership skills and provide a venue to discuss effective national and local strategies to help achieve the organization's goals. Generally a 3-day program, Camp AAJA 2010 will be conducted in two two-hour sessions at the AAJA convention in Los Angeles this summer. Participants will learn from professionals and their peers best practices that may include developing skills in chapter management, fundraising, program planning, and business development.

A two-part session, Camp AAJA will be held Wednesday, August 5, from 1pm to 3 pm and Thursday, August 5, from 1 pm to 4pm at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa in Los Angeles in conjunction with the AAJA National Convention.

Funding support for this year's Camp AAJA is made possible by AAJA member and longtime supporter Skip Rhodes.
