Mentorship Programs

AAJA Print/Online News Mentorship

The AAJA Print/Online News Mentorship matches students and beginning journalists with AAJA members, who are professionals in the online/print industry, in hopes of developing the future generation of journalists. The mentorship is piloted as a one year-long commitment, in which the student and mentors will connect weekly for the first six months, complete an online evaluation, then continue the partnership for the remainder of the year.

We are currently accepting applications for the mentorship. We hope to make matches in early June for students who are heading off to their summer internships. Applications must be received by May 15 in order to be considered for the 2011-2012 program. We will continue to accept volunteers for mentors on a rolling basis.
