AAJA Selects 16 Students for 2014 VOICES Program

AAJA is pleased to welcome the 2014 class of college students, recent graduates and volunteer mentors to the VOICES program. Participants come from all over the U.S. to take part in the journalism career development and leadership training. Students will be reporting and producing content for the VOICES convention news site and broadcast program. Keep up with updates on the VOICES program before the live launch during the 24th AAJA national convention in Washington, D.C. Aug. 13-16.

“The AAJA Voices program is thrilled at the talent and caliber of this year’s class of students,” said Ruth Liao, VOICES Program Director. “Now in its 24th year, VOICES has produced top-quality alumni that have gone on to media organizations such as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Texas Tribune and other news outlets both national and global.”

Students are able to participate in the program free of charge. VOICES appreciates any financial support. Please visit AAJA’s PayPal site and designate “VOICES” in your contribution under “add special instructions.”
