2018 National Convention Programming Co-Chairs Announce Call for Committee Members

AAJA is excited to announce Frank Bi, editorial engineer at Vox Media, and Aimee Cho, multimedia reporter and journalist at NBC Washington, as the 2018 National Convention programming committee co-chairs.

Frank Bi is an editorial engineer at Vox Media's SB Nation in New York City, working on the storytelling team building web projects. He's a VOICES alum and last year's convention programming co-chair.

Aimee Cho is a general assignment reporter and multimedia journalist at NBC Washington. A graduate of Cornell University, she is an alum of both JCamp and VOICES, and was a co-chair of the Student Broadcast Journalists Affinity group.

As we look forward to 2018 in Houston, the programming committee is gearing up to bring AAJA members another year of great programming at the convention.

AAJA’s programming focuses on improving core skills and making sure our members return to their newsrooms equipped with the latest tools and trends. Our sessions and workshops have included topics ranging from the importance of AAPI experiences and identity, to fake news, VR, and navigating difficult conversations in the newsroom around race.

The co-chairs are seeking members who have ideas and want to help shape the convention programming in 2018. All members are encouraged to apply.

If you're interested, please submit this form by 11:59pm PT on Friday, October 20. For any questions, contact Frank Bi at bi.h.frank@gmail.com.
