AAJA is excited to announce Jin Ding, program manager at the International Women’s Media Foundation, and Leezel Tanglao, senior editor for membership and innovation at HuffPost, as the 2020 National Convention Programming Committee co-chairs. 

 

The program committee includes the following members:

Mei Fong, director of strategy at Center for Public Integrity

Karen K. Ho, freelance business and culture reporter

Michael Huang, deputy editor at ESPN

Elaine Ramirez, audience development editor at CoinDesk

Julia Munslow, freelance journalist

Kenichi Serino, story editor at Global Press Journal

Emily Tan, freelance journalist

Hangda Zhang, video journalist at AJ+

 

#AAJA20 is headed to Washington, D.C. from July 29 to August 1, 2020. The theme of this year’s convention is VISIBILITY. 

 

The committee is looking for innovative, skills-based programming pitches to help AAJA members and convention attendees to gain tangible takeaways to help them thrive in digital-first news. Our goal is to inspire and train journalists and storytellers so they can apply what they learned on their day first back at work.
