Cantonese Language Lecturer

The Department of Social and Cultural Analysis at New York University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Cantonese Language Lecturer position with an appointment beginning on September 1, 2018, pending administrative and budgetary approval.

Duties include teaching elementary through advanced Cantonese, active program involvement in language and culture activities, and fostering collaborations to build a rigorous and cohesive program.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in teaching Cantonese as a foreign language, linguistics, language pedagogy, second language acquisition, or related field; native/near-native proficiency in Cantonese and English. The successful candidate must be able to teach at all levels from first-year to advanced-level language courses.
