Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate closely with internal staff across departments and an outside design firm working on the project.
- Research complex scientific topics, synthesize that research and then present the ideas in clear and engaging ways.
- Edit and proofread final text.
-B.A. or B.S.
-Experience in science writing for popular audience; 2+ years preferred.
-Must have published writing samples (for print, online or museums).
-Excellent communication and organizational skills and close attention to detail.
-Degree in science or science writing.
-Background in geology, earth science or environmental science.
-Experience working with scientists.
-Experience working in a museum setting.
