Bethany Ao (AAJA-Philadelphia) was recently hired as a city life reporter at The Philadelphia Inquirer. She is a recent graduate of Northwestern University, where she focused on arts and lifestyle reporting. Prior to The Inquirer, she has written for The Boston Globe, The Denver Post and The News & Observer. Angeline Bernabe (AAJA-San Francisco Bay Area) joined ABC 7 News Bay Area (KGO) as a production assistant. In this position, she helps with the production of weekend morning shows and runs the teleprompter. Prior to this position, Angeline interned with KCBS’ investigative unit and Dateline NBC in Los Angeles, NBC Bay Area’s investigative unit in San Jose, NBC Nightly News in New York as a 2017 AAJA News Fellow and most recently CNBC’s San Francisco Bureau. She currently serves as a co-director for AAJA’s Student Broadcast Journalists affinity group. Angeline will be graduating from UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism in May 2018. Jacqueline Cheung (AAJA-Sacramento) was recently named Best Local Blogger of 2017 by Sacramento Area A-List and Best Blogger of 2017 by Best of Elk Grove for her blog Jax Chronicles Blog & Adoption Ministry. Tim Tai (AAJA-Philadelphia) is a photojournalist who recently joined the staff of The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News. A 2016 graduate of the University of Missouri, he previously worked as a staff photographer at The Columbia Daily Tribune after internships at The San Antonio Express-News, The Tulsa World and The Boston Globe.
