For seniors who have already secured an acceptance letter to either a 2 or 4 year institution of higher learning for journalism. Multiple opportunities. Search with keyword "journalism."

NBC News Summer Fellowships  
Paid summer internships with Comcast NBCUniversal in New York City or New Jersey are available for current students pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. Housing stipends are available.

ABC News / AAJA Alexa Valiente Summer Internship 
One paid summer internship with ABC News in New York City or Washington, DC is available for current students pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. Housing stipends are available.

AAJA Sacramento Internships with Capital Public Radio and The Sacramento Bee
In partnership with Capital Public Radio and The Sacramento Bee, AAJA Sacramento is sponsoring a paid 10-week internship program for aspiring journalists. There will be one intern working at The Bee and a second at Capital Public Radio. The program begins in May or June 2020. Applicants must be 2020 AAJA student members. Sports Journalism Institute
One week of intensive training plus an eight-week paid sports journalism internship available upon completion.

Dat Winning Fellowship  
Aspiring AAPI writers interested in a career in sports writing can apply for this 6-month program in partnership with AAJA's Sports Task Force, and with the support of the Asian American Writers Workshop and NBC Asian America.

Currently enrolled students pursuing sports journalism/media as a career; funded by the AAJA Sports Task Force.

Jimmie & Suey Fong Yee Scholarships $900 
Two $900 scholarships available for a current student and a recent graduate pursuing sports journalism to offset costs for registration, travel, accommodations and meals for the 2020 AAJA National Convention in Washington, DC.

ProPublica Diversity Scholarship Program $750  
Available to current high school, college and grad school students to offset costs for the 2020 AAJA National Convention in Washington, DC.

Stanford Chen Internship Grant: $2,000  
Available to offset living expenses and costs for college juniors, seniors and graduate students in journalism who have secured a summer 2020 internship.

William Woo Print and Online News Internship Grant $2,000  
Available to support students and recent graduates who have secured a print or online news internship for the summer season (May or June through August).

CIC/Anna Chennault Scholarship $5,000  
Available to graduating high school seniors and college students who are passionate about journalism. This grant pays for educational costs and travel to the AAJA National Convention.

Mary Quon Moy Ing Memorial Scholarship Up to $2,000 
Available to current college students, graduate students and graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing journalism as a career.

Vincent Chin Memorial Scholarship $500 
Available to current student journalists for writing about the legacy of Vincent Chin in essay form.

2020 AAJA / Getty Images Inclusion Scholarship
AAJA and Getty Images are pleased to announce a new collaboration to award a $10,000 scholarship to a student focused on photojournalism. The scholarship recipient will also receive a $1,000 stipend to support attendance at the 2020 AAJA Convention, which will be held July 29 – August 1, 2020 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC.

Facebook Journalism Project Scholarship $10,000 each 
In partnership with Facebook, AAJA will award five scholarships to juniors, seniors and graduate students pursuing a degree in digital media/journalism/communications.
