2018 Dat Winning Fellowship: Aspiring AAPI writers interested in a career in sports writing can apply for this 6-month program in partnership with AAJA's Sports Task Force, and with the support of the Asian American Writers Workshop and NBC Asian America. The application deadline was April 30, 2018.

ProPublica Diversity Scholarship Program: $750 available to current high school, college and grad school students to offset costs for the 2019 AAJA National Convention in Atlanta. The application deadline was February 15, 2019.

NBC News Summer Fellowships: Paid summer internships with Comcast NBCUniversal in New York City or New Jersey are available for current students pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. Housing stipends are available. The application deadline was February 22, 2019.

ABC News Summer Internship: One paid summer internship with ABC News in New York City or Washington, DC is available for current students pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. Housing stipends are available. The application deadline was February 28, 2019.

AAJA-Sacramento/The Sacramento Bee Internship: In partnership with The Sacramento Bee, AAJA-Sacramento is sponsoring a paid 10-week summer internship program for aspiring print, photo, graphics and multimedia journalists. All applicants must be active AAJA student members. The application deadline was March 15, 2019. 

Stanford Chen Internship Grant: $2,000 available to offset living expenses and costs for college juniors, seniors and graduate students in journalism who have secured a summer 2019 internship. The application deadline was April 7, 2019.

William Woo Print and Online News Internship Grant: $2,000 available to support students and recent graduates who have secured a print or online news internship for the summer of 2019. The application deadline was April 7, 2019.

Broadcast News Internship Grants: Up to $1,000 offered to support an Asian American male who has secured a broadcast news internship for the summer of 2019 through the Lloyd LaCuesta internship grant; and up to $500 offered to a student with a 2019 summer broadcast news internship through the Sam Chu Lin internship grant. The application deadline was April 7, 2019.

N3Con Columbia Journalism School Student Fellowship: Three $750 fellowships available for current students to offset costs for registration, travel, accommodations and meals for AAJA-Asia's 2019 N3Con: New.Now.Next. Media Conference in Hong Kong. The application deadline was April 10, 2019.

Columbia Journalism School Student Fellowship: Four $750 fellowships available for current students to offset costs for registration, travel, accommodations and meals for the 2019 AAJA National Convention in Atlanta. The application deadline was April 14, 2019.

CIC/Anna Chennault Scholarship: $5,000 available to graduating high school seniors and college students who are passionate about journalism. This grant pays for educational costs and travel to the 2019 AAJA National Convention in Atlanta. The application deadline was April 21, 2019. 

Mary Quon Moy Ing Memorial Scholarship: Up to $2,000 available to current college students, graduate students and graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing journalism as a career. The application deadline was April 21, 2019

Vincent Chin Memorial Scholarship: $500 available to current student journalists for writing about the legacy of Vincent Chin in essay form. The application deadline was April 21, 2019

Facebook Journalism Project Scholarship: In partnership with Facebook, AAJA will award five scholarships of $10,000 each to juniors, seniors and graduate students pursuing a degree in digital media/journalism/communications. The application deadline was April 21, 2019. 

Sports Journalism Institute: One week of intensive training plus an eight-week paid sports journalism internship available upon completion. The application deadline was November 28, 2019.
