The AAJA Executive Leadership Program (ELP) looks at how Asian American and Pacific Islander values relate to high-level decision-making processes and leadership development.
AAJA National & Special Awards
Each year AAJA announces its top awards for the year recognizing excellence in various categories. The national and special awards are presented at AAJA's gala and scholarship awards banquet held at the annual national conventions.
Asian American Radio Group (AARG)
The Asian American Radio Group (AARG) encourages members interested in radio to network, find out about job opportunities and learn from seasoned veterans who have reported on some of the biggest stories of the past several decades. The group also addresses concerns among members from career paths to covering city hall and the latest in reporting techniques.
Mentorship Programs
AAJA offers mentorships to encourage members to share their expertise by becoming a mentor or develop professional skills by requesting a mentor.
Asian American Small Market Broadcast Journalists
The AASMBJ is a group for small market and entry level broadcast journalists. The group will provide networking opportunities and a support system for AAJA members who are working at small market television stations and at large market stations as entry level production assistants and desk assistants.
Fellowships
AAJA supports and encourages the advancement of mid-career journalists in the newsroom. In our aim to further these goals, we offer the following fellowships to provide our members the opportunity to attend career-building programs.
