An endowment campaign to support the future of the Asian American Journalists Association
Your support of the Futures Fund will be a perpetual investment in the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA). Endowment gifts are invested for AAJA’s long-term growth and provide a reliable stream of financial support – they ensure Asian Americans and Pacific Islander (AAPI) journalists are represented in newsroom leadership and news coverage of AAPIs and AAPI issues is equitable and accurate for generations to come.
The Futures Fund aims to increase the current endowment from $2 million to $5 million by 2028, allowing AAJA to utilize this generous investment income for its mission and programs and initiatives annually and forever.

Futures Fund Donors will be recognized on AAJA’s website, at events and in materials
- All donors who give $100 or more by December 31, 2024 will be publicly recognized as the “Wayfinders” of the Futures Fund.
- Donors with gifts of $100,000 or more will be recognized as “North Stars.”
- Planned gift donors will be listed on AAJA’s website and recognized in the AAJA Legacy Society.
- All donors who gave to the previous endowment campaign will be recognized as “Visionaries.
