(AAJA-Florida) added the role of Editor-in-Chief of the Austin American-Statesman to his current position as Senior Vice President of News for GateHouse Media. Previously he served as Executive Editor of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, which won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize in Investigative Reporting. He was 2016-17 president of the Associated Press Media Editors, a 2016 Knight Visiting Nieman Fellow at Harvard and a two-time Pulitzer jurist. He is a longtime member of the Asian American Journalists Association and a recipient of the national Robert G. McGruder Diversity Leadership Award. LOhB_W.jpgLeslie Hsu Oh (AAJA-At Large) has received two gold medals, two silver medals, and an honorable mention in the 2018 NATJA Travel Media Awards Competition. “The Couple in Trouble” published in Outside Magazine won gold in the the Destination Travel online category. “A Guilt-Free Day on the Slopes: One adventurous family’s guide to the latest in ecofriendly snowboarding gear” originally published in Sierra Magazine won gold in the Eco, Environmental or Volunteer Travel category. “The Couple in Trouble” published in Outside Magazine won silver in the Health and Wellness Travel category. “Snags” originally published in Panorama Journal of Intelligent Travel won silver in the Cultural Travel online category, as well as Honorable Mention in the Long-Form Narrative category.
