Voices is celebrating its 29th anniversary in 2019 at the annual AAJA National Convention in Atlanta, GA, July 31 – August 3. For more than two decades, Voices has had a long track record of placing alumni and mentors in jobs with national and international media, including the Dallas Morning News, National Public Radio, the Wall Street Journal and the Huffington Post.
Voices is a valuable leadership and mentoring program that aims to increase diversity in journalism by providing job-ready candidates for hiring media employers. Through the week-long news operation held at the AAJA convention, Voices provides key learning opportunities for aspiring young journalists through mentorship with media professionals.
