AAJA Stands with Journalists Pressing for Accountability in Coronavirus Response

The Asian American Journalists Association commends journalists who are asking the tough questions and holding our elected officials accountable, especially in their coverage of how governments are responding to keep Americans safe and healthy during the coronavirus pandemic.

We stand by AAJA member and CBS White House correspondent Weijia Jiang and her fellow press corps members in their fearless pursuit of answers, as they have consistently demonstrated in White House coronavirus briefings.

An independent and inclusive press corps is vital, from the White House to city halls. AAJA is committed to ensuring and supporting a pipeline of diverse journalists to report the truth and hold public officials accountable.

AAJA thanks those who are leading by example, and stands ready to support and be a resource for our members, fellow journalists and the public.
